Frosty Day

Cold weather is great for pictures. This is on the way to Old Fort where I took the deer pictures. Hopefully I'll get some good city winter pictures this week in Edmonton!

Foggy Sunday Morning

One great thing about Fort St. John is that when it's foggy, it lasts a looong time. I had hours to run around and take fog pictures on the back roads.

Oh Deer

I can't believe how close this doe let me get to her. She just went on eating and mostly ignored me. Unfortunately most of my shots were not sharp, as I didn't think to increase the ISO. Duh. I guess I'm still used to shooting film. Near Old Fort.

Winter Leaves

I discovered that in cold weather, breathing on your lens makes a quick soft focus filter. I was really wishing for snowshoes or cross-country ski while hiking through a foot of fresh snow at Beaton Park to take pictures. It was kind of cool though; the only tracks in the snow were animal tracks, and it was a beautiful day.

About This Blog

My photos are about being in the moment and experiencing the richness of our everyday surroundings. Mind and eye become one and garbage cans in the alley spring to life in colour and light.

I'll be posting a new photo every Sunday.
